In 2015 New Business Matters was contacted by a leading telesales company working on behalf of a major client in the materials handling sector.

Our services were needed when the decision was made to change the nature of their calling from telemarketing (effectively market research/intelligence) to telesales – where the only result that matters is a sales enquiry.

This change posed a serious challenge to the whole team (at all levels) and exposed not only a shortage of skills but also resulted in a real a slump in morale.

Solution

A series of one day interactive workshops were developed and delivered to teach new telemarketing skills and to instill fresh energy and confidence into every call.

Each course combined basic skills training from planning to closing stage with motivational encouragement and direction. Combined with new questioning skills, new out- of -the box ideas were introduced ensuring every call is productive.
